Að lána fyrir dýru hobbíi

Bush vill lána 700 milljarða dollara, skrifast 700.000.000.000,- til að redda atvinnulífinu. Þetta eru 66703 milljarðar króna, jafnvirði u.þ.b. 2.7 milljóna íbúða miðið við 25 milljónir stykkið. Þá er það komið á hreint. Þetta er slatti af aurum.

Maðurinn sem vill óður hjálpa "venjulegum ameríkönum" setti þetta af stað sjálfur. Stríðið í Írak kostar um 200 milljónir dollara á dag (19 milljarða króna, 760 íbúðir). Stríðið hefur staðið í fimm ár. 365 milljarðar dollara. Afghanistan kostar líka sitt. Slæm efnahagsstjórn kostar eitthvað. Ef Bush að taka lán fyrir eigin mistökum og engu öðru?

Hér er smá listi sem ég fann yfir það hvað stríðsrekturinn kostar í raun og veru. Þetta er tekið af síðu Demókrata, en það á ekki að skipta máli. Samkvæmt Washington Post er kostnaðurinn mikið hærri.
